Garrie Richardson BSc., MBA
Garrie heads up SciSafe across all sites and is the founder of the business. With over 10 years of sample management experience, Garrie has overseen the growth of SciSafe’s business from 3 chambers to hundreds today and growing. He has intimate hands on experience of all aspects of sample management with a constant focus on continuous improvement. Garrie is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization with a laser focused goal of SciSafe becoming the global leader in Sample Management and Integrated Cold Chain.

John has been managing commercial biorepositories for six years. He specializes in contingency planning and disaster recovery for controlled temperature storage facilities using his work experience in the nuclear and environmental industries. John has a great deal of experience applying FDA style GMP regulations to the Biorepository industry. He has spoken at several industry conferences and is active in numerous Boston area organizations relating to drug manufacturing and cold chain management.
Teresa Thorne BSc.
Biorepository & Stability Manager – Cranbury, NJ
Teresa joined SciSafe in 2011 as its second employee. During her tenure, she has progressed from Sample Technician to Stability Manager and in 2016 was promoted to Biorepository Manager. Her uncompromising focus on detail and ‘getting things right’ is perfect for a cGMP environment. Teresa manages all aspects of daily operations in our New Jersey facility and is responsible for making sure that we manage our client projects correctly. Her excellent organizational skills and attention to detail have allowed her to quickly flourish in this role.
Tiffany Maliar BSc.
Biorepository Manager – Billerica, MA
After 15 years in the veterinary medicine field, Tiffany transitioned over to the human side and joined our team in September of 2015. She is a graduate of Boston University, School of Medicine with a B.S. in Biomedical Laboratory and Clinical Sciences. She brings with her a vast knowledge of inventory control and management along with specialized laboratory skills. Currently, she heads our Billerica, MA location. In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with her German Shepherd, Ronin, and baking cupcakes.
Graham Young, CMA
Graham has worked for a succession of publicly traded manufacturing companies. In the early 1990’s he left the financial directorship of a medical device manufacturer to assume a role in Corporate M&A activities for Graseby Plc. In the early 1990’s he returned to an operating role as Finance Director in a group of companies acquired by Graseby in the USA. Graham is the CEO of his own successful business and brings with him over 30 years experience in businesses both large and small. Graham maintains a hands-on interest in SciSafe. Graham is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
